New Summer Issue is Looking Tasty!

I am madly working on the new issue of Let's Get Soapy for Summer.  It will be full of wonderful summery inspirations such as fruit, juice glasses, and s'mores!  The S'More Tutorial is packed with techniques - making your own graham cracker mold, realistic melted chocolate, and fluffy marshmallow filling!

Also there will be a new question and answer section to help you with your most challenging melt and pour dilemmas.  Please post your best head scratchers here and it may be picked for the eZine!

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks!

A "head scratcher" is when you can't think of the answer, so you scratch your head while you try to think of it. Silly English saying!

Can you think of a glycerin soap problem that you would like help with?

LOL,... ok, and thank you

i think glycerin soap, has two difilcuties, 1. sweating, 2. color bleeding. But If we learn to control it...we´re done :)
For 1. use a thermometer and place your soap in a dry place. 2. Use non-bleeding colors, or add some color (just a little) to your clear base to hide the bleeding

[now im scratching my head jeje..]

I have your 2009 June issue and can't wait for the 2010!
Since I just pulled out the 2009 and read again, I have a question. Love the texture sheets. I have several, but they don't fit in any pans or molds that I have =(. Don't want to cut the sheets down. How can I make containers or add dividers to containers and make pouring possible. I've tried making from freezer paper or foil, but need something more durable for multiple pours.

Thanks!

I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I would love to see you do a Q & A on how to suspend both heavy and light herbs. That's a common question I hear and your expertise would knock the answer out of the park!

Okay here's my "head scratcher" - You take 8 oz. of soap and pour it in a brownie pan. Peel it out and roll it up loosely. Take that scrolled soap and place it in a loaf mold. How can you get the soap to fill in the scroll if it is laying horizontal? I've done this using a round mold making the scrolled soap stand vertical. You know that phrase fitting "a round peg in square whole"? That's what I want :+} I've seen other soaps that have shaped/bent/folded and it's cut square. Maybe those soaps are done in a more 'industrial' setting with 'industrial' molds. But how can we do it with our simple loaf mold?
