Skulls Lurking Underground a la MirandaRanda!

I am always really excited to see soap makers use the tutorials that I post, and recently Miranda of Alt-Soap/Miranda Randa contacted me to make sure it was okay to sell the projects she made from the "Bubbles from the Crypt" tutorial on the Soap Queen blog. Of course it's okay - it's strongly encouraged!

When I went to check out her soaps, I was really impressed! She not only made the full skeleton like I did, but she also has this cool skull version (pictured above). I spotted the soapy eyeballs, too, but with added red veins - super creepy and awesome!

Thank you so much Miranda for contacting me, and thanks for doing such an amazing job with the projects!

I love hearing from all of you when you try out a project from my book, my blog, or the Soap Queen. Please keep me posted!

I tried so hard to do the eyeballs....I just cannot get the pupils to even get started. To big...not round. But I LOVE 3 projects from Soapylove.

Thanks, Debbie, for showing my soaps. :D The two projects were really fun to make!

Luster Canyon: I had a difficult time with the pupils too. Same thing as you. Too big, not round. So what I did was, trim them down a little bit with an xacto, while they were still in the mold. Worked pretty well. Maybe you would want to try that. Good luck!

Glad to know it's okay to sell what we make using you tutorials! and just an FYI, I found pumpkin & skull ice cube tray molds at the dollar store. They are PERFECT soap molds! Have a great day Debbie, and thanks for the inspiration! I also got some beachy ones there during the summer - starfish, fish, shells, etc)

Brigette, thanks! I am hoping that my neice and nephew will love them, when they come to trick-or-treat at my house. :D

Luster Canyon, I am glad that you are going to try again. I also found that it was easier for me to fill the bottom tray up past the domes (so that it spills up onto the flat part) and then spray the top part w/ alcohol and press it together. Some of the soap might gush out the top, but I decided to do it this way instead of w/ the injector tool (because I don't have one), and it worked very well. I saw that idea from someone else but now I can't remember where...

SimplyPuresoyCandles, I know, right?! I have a special place in my heart for gore and weird stuff. :D
