Hi there! I hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend! If you have come from the video posted on Kin Community's YouTube channel, you can find the full recipe for the salt and sugar scrubs below.
Sugar and salt body scrubs
1 cup sugar or fine salt (turbinado sugar, brown sugar, and all fine salts work great!)
½ cup olive oil, almond oil, or grapeseed oil
5 -10 drops essential oil (I used Lavender or Orange in the video)
Plastic bail jars
Tags, ribbons
Select oil type, salt or sugar,
and essential oil.
Measure ingredients, mix in bowl.
Scoop into jars (plastic bail
jars are both pretty and safe)
Make tag, tie ribbon, give!
Normally the bail jars are available at Bramble Berry, but I found them at US Plastics. Click here for that link. All other supplies can be found at www.brambleberry.com or at your local health food store!
Please note that personal preferences vary on the ratio of oil to salt/sugar, so feel free to play with proportions. You can't do anything wrong! Just be careful in your shower since the oil can make the floor slippery. What I do is squirt a little shampoo on the shower floor and swirl it around with my foot to wash off excess oil. Oh, and one more tip - I LOVE using these scrubs before shaving my legs. The smoothest shave in the west!

What a great video, Debbie! And the music background is so wonderful and sets a good mood. I love watching your hands making the goodies. Great fun work. Congrats on another super thing. Sopylove rocks!

I'm so glad you like it, Donna Maria! I was so excited to be invited to demonstrate these projects for Kin Community. They make beautiful videos!
